Welcome to the Seoul Metropolitan Library, the representative library of Seoul
The Seoul Metropolitan Library was opened in 2012 and is developing library policies in the city so that its citizens can enjoy convenient library services anytime, anywhere, and is making Seoul into “a city of knowledge and culture that changes people's lives.” We are also providing various services for providing of information, promoting of reading, lifelong learning, and cultural activities in partnership with over 1,000 libraries in Seoul.
The Seoul Metropolitan Library will improve the citizens’ access to information by strengthening the integrated mobile and web services in this era of digital conversion, and be an open and safe space for the people to have various experiences, communicate with each other, and realize their hopes and dreams. We will do our best to contribute to improving the quality of life for the citizens by providing customized services for each stage of the life cycle that can respond to rapid changes in the social and technological environment.
