Seoul Selects 70 Local Bookstores as ‘Seoul-Style Bookstores’ to Promote Everyday Reading Culture

- Seoul has selected 55 ‘Seoul-Style Bookstores’… Introducing diverse local bookstores and connecting them as everyday cultural spaces.

- 15 additional ‘Mobile Seoul-Style Bookstores’ allow citizens to visit directly… They can also be found at Seoul outdoor libraries.

- Each bookstore operates cultural programs reflecting its own character, such as ‘Novel Counseling, Neighborhood Humanities Walks, and Reading Clubs.’

- Up to 4 million KRW per bookstore is provided to support program operation costs, along with Seoul-Style Bookstore merchandise and promotional support.

- Seoul Library received the ‘Chairperson’s Award of the National Library Committee’ for fostering collaboration among libraries, local publishers, and bookstores.
