Seoul Smart Library Use Guide

• Location: Inside City Hall Station, Subway Line 1 (B1, Exit no.2)
• Operating hours: 05:00 ~ 24:00 (open all year, during the hours of the subway line 1)
• Available for : Members of the Seoul Metropolitan Library(issued library card)
• Borrowing : 4 books per person, for 15 days including the day of loan ※ This number is not included in the books checked out from the Seoul Metropolitan Library
• Returning : Books checked out from the Smart Library can only be returned at the Smart Library (cannot be returned at the Seoul Metropolitan Library)
  • ※ If a book is overdue, your borrowing privileges will be suspended for corresponding number of days (Number of books X days overdue). The borrowing privileges at the Seoul Metropolitan Library will also be suspended for the same number of days.
  • ※ If your borrowing privileges is suspended at the Seoul Metropolitan Library or if you have books that are overdue, you cannot check out books from the Smart Library

• Borrowing

  • ① Select bookSelect book by field / Search for a book by title

    

  • ② Confirm bookConfirm book information and click the basket (Up to 4 books)

    

  • ③ Scan library cardLibrary card / mobile card / membership number can be used for authentication

    

  • ④ Borrowing completeCheck your personal information and the book, then click 'Confirm'

    
• Returning

  • ① Return menuClick 'Return'

    

  • ② Scan book Scan the book at the book scanner on the right

    

  • ③ Insert bookInsert the books in the inlet one by one
