Chaeknarae

Chaeknarae Service

  • Chaeknarae (책나래) is a word combining 'book' meaning chaek (책) and 'wing' meaning narae (나래).
  • The Chaeknarae Service provides library materials to the users with disabilities and have difficulty visiting the library. The materials are sent via post office delivery service, free of charge, to their doorsteps.

Qualifications for Chaeknarae membership

    ※ People with disabilities do not need to submit a certificate if they search for the ‘confirmation of disability information’ and go through the authentication process when registering as a member at the 'National Library for the Disabled'
    Disabled patriots and veterans registered with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs
    • Certificate of National Merit
    • Certificate of Special Operation Merit
    • Certificate of Veteran Compensation
    • Confirmation of Recipient of Support

Membership

  • After registering a member on the Chaeknarae website, it needs to be approved by the person in charge.

Using the Chaeknarae Service

  • STEP 01

    Register with your local library and on the Chaeknarae website,
    then add it to 'My Library'
