Request for Preserved Materials

In the Seoul Metropolitan Library Collection Rooms

to free up some space, materials that are not frequently used or old are stored in the "preservation stacks."
If a material is at the 'preservation stacks' as a result of your search, you can use the item after applying for use at the website.

※ The materials of the Seoul Document Collections can only be viewed and cannot be checked out.
※ Reference books such as language dictionaries can only be viewed and cannot be checked out.
※ Applied materials are not available on closing days. They will be available on the next opening day.

Matters to Note

  • The application will be cancelled if you do not use the material within 3 days of notification.
  • Please check if your contact information is correct when applying for preservation stacks use (The notification message will be sent when the material is available)
  • Number of books that can be applied: 5 books per person
