Librarian Capacity Building Training

We are holding training programs for the capacity building of librarians in libraries in Seoul. See the past training history and the training schedule for this year.

About the Program

  • We hold capacity building training programs to develop the expertise of librarians in Seoul. We operate various programs such as holding a public library knowledge and information community workshop and holding 'KLA(Korean Library Association) National Conference' and joint training for library heads and librarians in autonomous districts.

  • Article 43 (3) of the Library Act (Obligation of local governments to provide librarian training)
  • Article 18 (1) 9 of the Seoul Metropolitan Government Ordinance on the Promotion of Libraries and Reading Culture
  • Results of the Survey on Demands for Librarian Capacity Building Training in 2023 (Library Policy Division-2938, March 14, 2023)
