Chaekieum Service

  • Chaekieum (책이음) is a word combining 'book' meaning chaek (책) and 'connection' meaning ieum (이음).
  • The Chaekieum Service is an integrated library card service that allows you to borrow books from participating libraries across the country with a single membership library card.
  • If you wish to use the services in one or more public libraries, register as a member of the Chaekieum Service and then you can use the public libraries participating in the program without having to register as a member in the other libraries.
  • Anyone who is a member of the Chaekieum can borrow books from participating libraries, and users can check all the materials they have borrowed and returned.
